Queen @krissychula just made the move to L.A. and that means L.A. just got 100% more dope.
Years ago, my friend Ernest Hardy sent me one of her YouTube videos with “I love this woman” in the subject line. A few years later, her “It’s Hot as Hell” video went viral (5.7M views as if today) and ended up on @thetalkcbs @huffpostwomen and @buzzfeed - all while she was struggling to keep her apartment as a broke college student. She came out to L.A. shot an HBO pilot but it didn’t get picked up, she went back to Ohio. She got a manager and a legion of fans, telling her to come back and get busy gettin’ the success she deserves, (including a successful comedian who encouraged her to come, offered her a place to stay, etc. but left her on read once she got here). A family friend who claimed he could “make things happen” tried to drop her off at a damn trap house with 9 DUDES living there. 🤷🏾♀️ Come on L.A., don’t be cliché - this truly special, one-of-kind, funny as as hell sista deserves ALL the things - follow her, hire her, help her get the cream. ⬇️
